Agency Free (“we”, “us”) is a UK property marketplace. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you browse, create an account, list a property, or enquire with a landlord or tradesperson.

Agency Free is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller in the United Kingdom, as required under UK GDPR. Our ICO registration number is available on request from hello@agencyfree.uk.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, hashed password, and the role you choose (buyer, landlord, or tradesperson).
- Listings you publish: address, photos, price, and property facts you enter.
- Enquiries: the message, name, email, and optional phone number you send to a landlord or trader.
- Saved homes and search alerts, if you use those features.
- Technical data needed to run the site: session cookies and security logs (IP address, user agent) for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Why we use it
We process this data to provide the service (contract), keep accounts secure (legitimate interests), send listing alerts you requested (consent / contract), and meet legal duties. We do not sell personal data. We do not charge landlords a listing fee.
Sharing
When you enquire, we pass your contact details to the listing landlord or tradesperson so they can reply. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, database) as processors under contract. We do not share data with estate-agent networks.
Retention
We keep account and listing data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account by emailing support. Enquiry threads are kept so both parties have a record of the conversation, unless you request erasure where the law allows.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
